This letter is in support of Mr. A. B. applying for PhD studies in Food science department.
I have known Akbar for two years as his thesis advisor. We were working beside each other in a research group at Dr Peighambardous' laboratory. He is an outstanding and active student who is a well-organized and highly-motivated student. While doing researches, he used to study diverse related papers and many times brought new viewpoints and perspectives for doing further fruitful experiments. He liked much engaging in the work of other members of group and helping them to expand his theoretical and practical knowledge in extra hours or on holidays.
I found him very cooperative and patient since we faced difficulties and unpredictable happenings. He tried his best to work on the paper, named physicochemical and functional properties of spray-dried sourdough in bread making, published in journal of Food Science and Technology International. His persistence and willingness in writing of the other two published papers impressed me. Throughout this time, I believe Akbar a responsible and hardworking student and capable of facing new challenges. Also, his research ability, professional interest, maturity, motivation, self-reliance and academic preparation are exceptional. High degree enthusiasm towards working in an advanced laboratory always was visible in his eyes.
According to my experience, he has all the requirements to make him a very successful student and with no hesitation I strongly recommend him for the program of food science & technology.
