(20-04-2016, 12:58 PM)hiii نوشته: Hi, I wanna apply for MA at turkey and as I heard they just want GRE Q. , but there are a few Unis that want GRE V too... and I am good at Q, so I wanna skip V part. Now what is the best way? 1) just skip V and W parts and just answer Q part? 2) answer V part just by guessing too? and if I do the second way, is there a negative effect on my report card as the verbal score may be very low...? I mean a low score in verbal Vs. Not answered mark in Verbal? which one is better?
Hi
You can not, technically, skip in that way. As a matter of fact, you are supposed to present your attempts within every section of the test to acquire a score list. Guessing is, actually, a technique to confront with some kind of problems and is not a bad habit, by itself. However, answering everything based on chance shall not lead to high scores for you, though.
If you don't care about some sections, just fill the answer sheet by chance. That will provide a score for you, typically. It, not only, lets you catch the exam result but might lead to even a moderate score in those set of skills (will which be gratifying). It must be asserted that V score shall not be considered as a joke! because a low score in that might ruin the effect of a high Q score, globally.
You better try to get ready yourself, as much as you can, to answer whatever you know, and give your best shot in guessing upon the other V questions.
With best wishes.
