The graduate program offers Master of Professional Studies (M.P.S.), Master of Science (M.S.) and Ph.D. degrees. Research and course offerings cover a broad range. Recent student projects have dealt with seasoning problems, new finishes for wood, decay, residential construction, adhesives, wood composites and ultrastructure studies. Each graduate student has a specific program developed to meet the career objectives of the individual. Advisory committees are composed of specialists in the student's chosen area of research. The MPS degree is coursework only, but requires a practicum where the student works with industry or science professionals on current problems, while the MS degree requires a thesis
