Thank you for your inquiry. I expect to have a position for next year. There are also a few scholarship opportunities in xxx for international students, specifically the xxx Innovates award: I think you should definitely apply for this this fall as it is adjudicated in January and February.

I think you have a strong chance. My group presently has 6 graduate students and a postdoc. We also have very good connections with industry and are moving our MOF materials beyond academic studies. If you wish to have a chat, we can arrange a skype meeting.
