,PhD Position in Mechanical Engineering - Fluidmechanics Thermodynamics Construction in University Aalen Germany
The HTW Aalen invites applications of foreign students for a scholarship regarding 1 PhD positions in Mechanical Engineering funded by the Boysen Stiftung. Details about the research areas can be found at http://www.dhbc.de. And on request frominfo@dhbc.de.
Subject of research is the development of a small scale turbine (KDT Kompakte Dampfturbine) which represents a simple highly integrated powerplant which could be used as novel CHP and also for solarthermic applications.
The test stand of a novel scale turbine is available at university of applied science Aalen available. The KDT has to be enhanced so that test measurement can be conducted. Labview is available. KDT is attached to a RS486 Data Acquistion System. Simulations with Ansys should also be developed. Optimization of the system have to be planned, derived by the measurements and simulations. Cooperation with partner on other universities ,who also research on KDT, is desired.
Successful candidates will be responsible for developing a prototype and conduct experiments and compare with theory.
Cooperation with the home institute is necessary so that the work can lead to a Ph. D. thesis.
Applications should be sent to bewerbung@dhbc.de
