Dr. Abedian's research is in area of fluid mechanics and its applications in fluidic systems. He has expertise in electrohydrodynamcis, transport phenomenon and energy systems. His most recent effort has resulted in the development of a new generation of digital microfluidic devices. He has worked on flow electrification of dielectric liquids, electrowetting phenomenon, properties of silk fibroin solutions, magnetohydynamic flow in levitated droplets, and dental materials
