I am an MSc student of remote sensing in Iran and I have studied geomatics in my bachelor of science courses.
Geomatics and remote sensing is not a seperate department in most of the universities in the world.
just afew universities have a seperate department for geomatics. Like :[dir=ltr]
1 - University of Calgary in Canada : http://www.geomatics.ucalgary.ca
2 - University of New Brunswick in Canada : http://www2.unb.ca/gge/HomePage.php
and third ( the most different one )
3 - University of Twente in the Netherlands : http://www.utwente.nl/itc/
and people who want to apply in other universities should apply in Electrical and Electronic Engineering department or the department geography.
I mean in some aspects remote sensing would be an engineering discipline but in other other aspects it is related to geoscience.
The most important scientific institues related to my field are:
1- IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society
2- International society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
Now I want to have a search in the ranking of universities for my field I've reached to TopUniversities site but I dont know which category my field belongs to Natural sciences or Engineering and Technology?
