Dr. Reza Iravani received his B.Sc. in 1976 (Tehran Polytechnique University) and masters and Ph.D. degrees in 1981 and 1985 (University of Manitoba) in electrical engineering. He worked as a consulting engineer from 1977 to 1979. Presently, Dr. Iravani is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. His research interests include power systems dynamics and applications of power electronics in power systems. Dr. Iravani is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada, and the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery.
