in February 2013. Those students that join our program will then rotate
through three or more labs before the students join a specific lab.
Because our 2012 students have not yet been placed in labs, I do not
know whether I will be able to accept a student from the 2013 class.

حدس میزنم این استاد در یک دانشگاه رنک قوی کار میکنه
چون در دانشگاههای تاپ ، اکثرا گروه ادمیشن هست که راحع به اپلیکیشن و فاند شنا بررسی می کنند و زیاد استاد به تنهایی تاثیر گذار نیست

دو جواب از دو استاد یه دپارتمان دانشگاهی در آمریکا گرفتم...اولی که chair هست و وقتی جوابشو دیدم دومی رو فرستادم ولی جواب دومی در پاراگراف اول " اینکه دنبال کسی میگرده و ... " رو جای کار داره؟آیا با دومی ادامه بدم و به یکی از اساتید اون لیست ای میل بزنم و بگم که استاد فلانی دنبال یه partnership دیگه میگرده؟
یکی از اون اساتیدی که اشاره کرده استادی است که جواب اولی رو داده...در بین اساتید هم استاد دومی استاد دومی بیشتر با background می خوره..البته خیلی specific نکردن استادها تو زمینه ی کاریشون....(من هم فقط به همین دو تا ای میل زدم)

Although I'm likely to be admitting one new PhD student this fall, it does
depend somewhat on the availability of funding. I will probably be seeking
to identify someone willing to be supported in part via a teaching
assistantship (in addition to a research assistantship the other part of the
time).

You may also find other faculty research in my department to have research
interests in environmental chemistry or environmental remediation that align
with yours - specifically, Profs. X, Chair, Z, or made in china. I encourage you to check into their current work and to contact
them as well.
